Friendship Day in our Family Resource Center

March 8, 2024

Our Family Resource Center understands the power of connections and community. That’s why we’re thrilled to host Friendship Day, a celebration of the bonds we’ve built within our groups.

Our participants came together for a heartwarming potluck, sharing dishes that reflect their diverse heritages and backgrounds. From traditional favorites to homemade delights, the spread was a testament to our rich tapestry of cultures.

But the fun didn’t stop there! We enjoyed games like Bingo and raffles, where our participants had the chance to win prizes carefully selected by our Family Advocate and group leader, Angela. This year, we focused on self-care items to nurture the mind, body, and soul.

While the moms mingled and connected, our little ones explored their creative sides with arts and crafts. From colorful paintings to handmade treasures, every moment was a chance to bond and make lasting memories.

Friendship Day spanned two incredible days, with separate events for our New Moms and Latino Women’s Support Group. We were thrilled to welcome 13 women and 11 children, making each gathering a lively affair filled with laughter and love.

And because we believe in spreading joy, Angela made sure every woman went home with a small goodie bag filled with treats and homemade crafts. It’s the little touches that make Friendship Day truly special.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this unforgettable celebration of community and connection. Here’s to many more moments of friendship and fun at the Family Resource Center!
